We Stand Together

We encourage our employees to support their local communities in several different ways. Each year, we are amazed by their generosity especially through our employee giving efforts which are a core part of our culture. Standing Together Week is a company-wide event to kick off our annual giving campaigns. This weeklong celebration provides opportunities for employees to engage with nonprofit organizations in their communities by donating their time, money and things. This year, our employees donated more than $970,000 to help make an impact in the communities we serve to a variety of organizations and causes. Our employees also participated in more than 100 donation drives across our states to collect items such as food, clothes and even blood to help our local communities.

We Help Each Other

Whether it’s a natural disaster, house fire or a medical emergency, our employees want to help one another in difficult times. That’s why we created the Blue Bear Employee Relief Fund℠. Established in 2012, the fund is one of our major beneficiaries of employee giving, providing employees with short-term assistance during times of unforeseen and urgent financial hardship.

In 2015, more than $313,000 was donated to this fund through our annual giving campaign, fundraising events and various donors who passionately support this cause. Nearly 370 HCSC employees received emergency financial relief from the fund in 2015.
